We had an issue with the data center and a power spike and the loss of all the drives. The drives are currently shipped off to a secret location and are in the process of being data recovered at a astronomical expense. We had to re-code a lot of things again, hence the downtime, apologies. Weekly updates are back (yay!) and the archive will be back in a few weeks (yay!). There is a period of free member accounts which won't be in the current system. So just sign up k ?

Steaming along is good :) Hope you're all enjoying the hot updates. We're going to be adding a 'hotlist' shortly which will be updated somewhat regularly. We've been asked how can users see what we updated 3 weeks ago, etc. So now, each update will be stored under Updates so you can go and see past updates. Cool hey ? We also changed some of the page layouts so it is easier to navigate.
We're thinking of adding an option of downloading each photoset as a zip file. If we get enough requests for this functionality we'll slip it in.

And On The Third Day He Rose - 18th April 2006
Well it took Jesus 3 days to rise from the dead. It took our provider 4 days. How much of a pain in the ass is that ? We lost a motherboard on Good Friday, and they didn't have a replacement in stock, so it took Dell 4 days over a long weekend riddled with public holidays to get a replacement part in and set us alive again. Sorry for all you pervs who wanted a fix over the weekend, it pains us just as much as it pained you. You'll get a double update this week to compensate for the downtime.

We changed IP addresses on some servers. Depending on how long it takes for DNS to propagate to your ISP you might not be able to get in for up to a day. This is how the internet works, sorry.
Long Time No See - 30th March 2006
Well .. long time no news eh. We're in the final stages of a few new additions to Reality Skin, one of which is very very cool, and we're sure you'll love it. Stay tuned to see something in the next week or so.
There has been some grumblings about poor performance the last few weeks and we've been pulling our hair out trying to figure what's been going on. The long and the short of it is, leaked or sniffed passwords. From a server load of 200 people online to 1000+ users maxes out the bandwidth and slows the server to a crawl. This is bad for you because you get awful response times and downloads that take forever. This is bad for us because we pay through the nose for excess bandwidth costs. You may now notice there is a different login screen. We have installed some software that stops password sharing, password sniffing and anti-slurping. If you have any troubles with this, give us a yell and we'll see what we work out. All in all it works excellant and should increase the performance markedly.
You know, after trawling our access logs and visting the passwords site where some of our passwords were displayed at, we took the opportunity to check out other sites, and what they offered. The majority of the ones we saw had awful content. 10 to 20 photo sets and a few movies that had looked like it hadn't been updated in months. We're now confident to say that Reality Skin is perhaps the best Amateur / Homemade site out there! We have a massive 200 gig of content, regular updates and the best value for your buck you will ever find.

Apologies for the downtime yesterday, our provider pulled the wrong plug somewhere and sent us sprawling into nowhere for 10 hours. Updates to the site will happen every 2-3 days instead of daily. Big Brother In The Real World - 19th September
Well after years of collecting the most impressive display of Big Brother user submitted material on the net, Big Brother himself, Endemol International, have finally clasped their iron fist and sent us a cease and desist letter.
Starting out in our infancy some five years ago, a devout group of Australian Big Brother series 1 enthusiasts capped a lot of the content and shared them with each other. This site was born then as a means for everyone to easily share their captures and look what other people had got. The interest was so widespread that people from all over the world came to share their own local Big Brother episodes. There are a bunch of tremendous people who are fiercely dedicated to seeing as much of Big Brother around the globe that they can, sadly with the action brought against us we hope that this doesn't dampen their desire or enthusiasm and a way can be found for them to continue to experience this global phenomenon.
So with the Endemol International request to remove all Big Brother content, thus comes a crushing blow to a large group of worldwide Big Brother enthusiasts. We are as bitterly disappointed as you are, this has been a labour of love for many for a long time. Over the next few days you will see the Big Brother content removed from the site. The site will continue sharing user submitted uploads of homemade, amateur, celebrity and other reality shows such as Valo Vilag and other spin offs from the Big Brother concept. It's been a hectic month with Australia, USA and UK all hosting their Big Brother seasons. We've been extremely busy behind the scenes. In the next few days we'll be moving our main server to increase our capacity three fold. We'll be putting the download of the zip files back in and a few more cool things. ZIP, Zip, zip it - 1 July 2005
Premium member accounts now have the ability to download zip files of images. In the archive, you'll now see a [zip] link next to the image count. Clicking on this will generate a zip file on the fly and prompt you to download it. Large image folders will take a little to generate the zip so be patient. Enjoy the new Zip On Demand !

A new addition - 25th May 2005
As you've probably noticed there was some disruptions in the last day or so. We added another server to the cluster and it wasn't as smooth as we would have liked. With the data center giving our IP away, fucking up DNS, denying access, being slow and inefficient there was more downtime than we would have liked. Naturally, being out of our control, there was nothing we could do except whinge and moan. That said and done, the new server is now in full force and you can expect better performance with loads of new content on the way. The majority of the impact was on free account holders not being able to sign in or register new accounts. If you couldn't register yesterday , try again now.
Dude, Wheres my email? - 12th May 2005
We've had a massive influx of signups for free accounts over the last few days. This has led to a backlog of mail being sent out, the queue for sending mail reached 2000+ at some point. If you haven't got your email yet, don't fret, wait a day or so and it will come.
This is also impacting the verification image on the signup page, if you can't see it, try again later.
As a consequence of this, we have lowered the data for free accounts to 2 MB a day for a day or so until the load eases up.

Too Many Connections - 10th May 2005
Eep ! For some reason (gee i wonder why) we have had *massive* signups for free user accounts in the last 48 hours. This has caused the verification image on signup not being seen, delays in scripts running and users not getting emails for verification. This should hopefully be rectified soon.
Premium membership should be as good as gold :)

Weekend Updates - 17th April 2005
We upgraded some things on the main server and added a script to help manage the traffic from the main page. There were some reports that it activated a virus alert on some anti virus programs. This is of no concern and the offending script has now been removed. In any case, *everyone* should be using up to date anti virus protection. This is crucial with all the malicious activity on the big bad web. If you were browsing at this time you may have noticed slower than usual speed and a little bit of downtime, we apologise, but hopefully it enhances your future enjoyment of the site.

We're finalising the disk speed on the server, while that is being done, free account users may not be able to login and see a MySql error at the top of their screen. This is appearing becuase of the speed of disk reading and timeout for authentication with the free database. Premium account members are not affected.

It's been a fucking nightmare. Got the new server in, set it up all, then it failed, so they are in the process of putting in a new one, 5 fucking days later. As you can tell we're not really happy :) But that said, it should be up and live in 24 hours. Going from 120 gig ( which was full ) to 600 gig. Expect a mountainload of updates.
What The Fuck ? - 3rd March 2005
Yes, we know, what the fuck is going on. Well bottom line is that our host provided faulty hardware for the new server. We moved over all the data and reconfigured the system on the new box, went to go live and it died. They are looking into fixing it up today. It has been nothing but a nightmare :( Updates (massive updates ) will start again as soon as the new box is ready ( *hopefully* this afternoon ).

We at Reality Skin hope all our members had a fantastic festive season and came through it unscathed ! :) Hope you were impressed with the daily updates throughout the holiday period - we really DO work hard.
The last day or so has seen an enormous amounts of connections to our authentication database, this is still under investigation as to the cause. This unfortunately locked some members out from logging in because all the connections were in use. We have implemented some code which will stop this while we try to rectify the problem. Sorry for any inconvience, if you really want to bitch about it, email the admin :)

Well, we offer our apologies for the last week. We had all sorts of trouble with DNS and IPs after we implemented a caching proxy to multiple content nodes. It really has been a week from hell. On the upside, you should now be getting your content to you faster! We're also slowly playing with added functionality, and they get rolled out gradually as we do them. One of the staffs pet peeves was in the 'Latest" views , it was hard to determine easily what was an image and what was a movie. Well we've added some icons next to the file names, so you can easily find the movies!

Over 50,000 free members, more than 30,000 images and 4000 movies, it's been a remarkable last few months. With our content at such a high level ( and LOTS more to come , you should see the upload server! ) we will be announcing a price increase in the next week. This will bring us into line with most other pay sites. We still think you'll be getting awesome value as a majority of the pay sites out there are rather stagnent. So if you were ummming and arhhing about signing up - Do it now ! The price will triple for a one month membership in the next week. At $8 a month you can't go wrong. And if you do sign up at $8 a month now, it will ALWAYS be $8 a month unless you let it lapse and resign up again at the higher rate.

There was a bug in the free account signup where it allowed users to login without verifying their account. This hole has been fixed and users who did not verify may experience problems logging in. If this happens, send an email to tech@realityskin.net with your username asking to be verified.

Reality Skin ! - 28th July 2004
RealitySkin.net - New name for the site ! Reality Skin has taken over and will bring you not only all the Big Brother action from around the world, but a wide variey of reality related files.
This is a move to try and encompass more of the reality side of skin images and movie clips. A reality skin file can be anything from a Dutch couple who taped themselves having sex and being leaked to the internet - to Paris Hilton or similiar hollywood type figures.
With Big Brother Bar 5 Poland due to start in September 2005 and a dozen more around the world already commited you can be sure that all the action will be brought to you here.
We hope you enjoy the new broadened aspect of the site and the extra content !

Download Accelerator Software - 1st June 2004
We've been alerted to the following information for free account users. This is beyond our control as the php code that serves the files seems to clash with the download accelerator software.
Symptoms :
- You get Error 403: Access Denied/Forbidden
- You get sent back to login when you try and view an image
- You get a html page when you try and save a movie
- You lose more quota than you have actually lose
This behaviour may occur if you are running a download assistant, or web accelerator software. Disable the software and try again.
Bug Fix - Free Account Archive Movies - 29th May 2004
There appeared to be a bug getting movie files from countires that had a season with a space in the name, such as Polands Bar or Hungarys Valo Vilag. This was affecting the Free user accounts and has now been fixed.
New Design Launched - 27th May 2004
After a lot of hard work we have finally developed a new site for your enjoyment. The new site not only has a complete new look and feel, but it also supports free and premium account users. The site has been rebadged to become bbuncut.com, replacing bbuncensored.com. You are still able access it via www.bbuncensored.com though.
Due to the massive success and popularity that bbuncut has experienced in the last year the demand has far outweighed the supply. Unfortunately we could not continue to give the premium service that users had enjoyed in the previous 2 years. This was due primarily to bbuncut becoming a repository for not only Australian, but International, images and movie clips.
An effect of this, as a result of the massive increase in users, was degregated performance brought on by our need to manage bandwidth. As a free service we previously shouldered the cost of running the site to provide the greater community of perverts easy access to the live stream captures. With our busiest month seeing 19 million hits, and the bandwidth restrictions, the site was getting unusable so we had little choice but to change the way the site worked.
There is still a free account which allows a user to download a defined amount of data within a 24 hour period. After that 24 hour period, the limit is reset and they can do it all again. The data download limit will initially be set low, but will adjust on a scale and allow a bigger download limit depending on the amount of premium signups. The number of premium signups will dictate how much we can put towards bandwidth costs. Hopefully, and realistically, the download limit for free account holders will be reasonable to avoid too many complaints.
We now offer a premium membership. This can be bought for a 1, 3, 6 or 12 month period. We originally debated the cost and swore that a user would not pay more than $5 a month for access. We think that this is more than reasonable, with most sites charging $20 a month or more. The 12 month premium account will cost you an average of $5 a month, will give you unlimited access and downloads to all files, and will support us in continuing to run this extremely popular and unique site.
This is a community based site, with the majority of files uploaded by users. We want it to stay that way, there is nothing more valuable than a close community who share for the greater good of everyone else. We will be giving contributors free unlimited life time accounts. The definition of a contributor isn't defined and as such , there are no guidelines in place as to how much and how often a contributor should upload. Contact us if you feel you'd like to contribute and we'll sort something out. Please be reasonable before you contact us with 5 pictures to upload, you'd need a significant larger amount than that.

Apologies to all who feel dissapointed and ripped off by this new structure, but we were left with no option, and we feel that we have compromised to bring you a wealth of material with little expense to the user.
